UAE & GCC Product Registration
Product registration across the Gulf — MoHAP and Dubai Municipality in the UAE, SFDA in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC — with importer, labelling and halal requirements handled as part of the plan, not discovered at customs.
Where this usually starts
- A Gulf distributor wants your products but needs them registered first.
- You are targeting Amazon.ae, pharmacies or retail chains in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
- You registered in Dubai and assumed it covered the region — it does not.
What we handle
Gulf classification strategy
Supplement, herbal, cosmetic or conventional product — classification differs by country and decides the pathway.
UAE MoHAP registration
Health supplement and herbal product registration with the Ministry of Health & Prevention.
Dubai Municipality / Montaji
Cosmetic and consumer-product registration on the Montaji platform for the Dubai market.
Saudi SFDA registration
The separate — and usually stricter — Saudi pathway for supplements, cosmetics and foods.
Importer & local representative
Importer-of-record structure and coordination, since registrations are held locally.
Arabic labelling & halal
Bilingual label adaptation and halal positioning where the category or buyer expects it.
How the engagement runs
Prioritise
Pick the entry market and classification per product across the Gulf.
Prepare
Dossiers, Free Sale Certificates, legalisation and Arabic artwork.
Register
Portal submissions with the importer, and query closure to approval.
Expand
Roll approvals into the next GCC country using the groundwork already done.
What you receive
Questions founders ask us
Do I need a local company in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
You need a local importer of record — registrations are filed through and held by a locally licensed entity. Structuring that relationship well matters, because it determines who controls your registrations if you ever change distributors.
Does one GCC registration cover all six countries?
No. Despite shared GSO standards, registration remains country by country — UAE and Saudi Arabia each run their own systems. The efficient play is building one strong dossier and reusing it across the bloc, which is how we structure the work.
Are Arabic labels mandatory?
Yes for most regulated categories — bilingual Arabic/English labelling is a standard registration and retail requirement. Artwork adaptation is part of the registration package, not an afterthought.
